Who is up for a poetry contest?

Okay, so I found the following list in my poetry file from 2007.  An unfinished poem? Not a clue what I was going to write about.  So here’s the challenge – You have two weeks to submit a poem based on the list in red.  On March 6th, it will switch to voting and you will have one week to vote for your three favorite poems.  I will post these three on a blog with links to the authors..

Trembling tears

captured in threads

Devoted kiss
weeping death

the red silence
silken tales
Roses of obsession
whispering tears
flames of waves
splintered thorn
lost petals
frozen kiss
weeping in the sky

loose threads

 

さんさんとそそぐ朝日の文机に遺す未完の歌ぞ淋しき

Sansan to/ sosogu asahi no/fuzukue ni/ nokosu mikan no/ uta zo samishiki

How lonely I would be
left behind on my desk
an unfinished poem
