she emerges
from the fog
a mere shadow

just a flashy star
sizzling one bright moment
then obscurity

~

suddenly
from the empty fields
birds arise

~

in the morning frost
doe emerges from the mist
startling the birds

the lighthouse beckons
to the ship lost in the fog
spilling her secrets
