furrowed with deep puddles

by the falls
light spray shifts with the breeze
sudden coolness

 ~~~
on the river
the lads in their straw hats
launch a raft
~~~

on the bridge
the one in the yellow dress
laughs a spring breeze

If Taken In My Hand

Carpe Diem if taken in my hand

if taken in my hand
it would vanish in hot tears
autumn frost

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My inspiration is not for mother’s lost but for mother’s who have lost.
new buds frosted
withering on the vine
fruit untasted
~~~

broken branches
no roses in my garden
thorn in my hand

~~~
trampled plant
bud broken before flowering
wilting in my hand
~~~

my garden
blanketed in snow
awaiting spring
dreams melt in my hand
glistening tears holding hope
