tumultuous changes
embraced by your family
I still stand out
smiling you whisper
“Diamonds are xenoliths.”

Universe

Carpe Diem #1530 Universe … Soliloquy No Renga (solo-renga)

circle of life
seasons come and go … always
the Cosmos leads us                           © Chèvrefeuille

swirling entities
ever expanding  universe

tiny stars share their light
gaseous giant feeding life
of unbounded wonders

each following a unique
cycle of life and death

brilliant changes
in a continuous pattern
of color and movement

each organism adding
it’s flavor to the mix

our own individualism
brings unique beauty
to natures intricacies

our lives interconnected
in the circle of life

Rustling Leaves

Carpe Diem #1527 Rustling Leaves (extreme haibun)

leafhaibun

acorn

An autumn walk  the woods, squirrels chatter overhead.  Straw colored grass-heads bow in the breeze.  Leaves skate down the pine trees with a cascading rustle.  Afternoon sun casting long acorn shadows on the ground.

full hunter moon
shines on a scattered carpet
of autumn color

Renga With H.F. Noyes

Carpe Diem #1523 H.F. Noyes’ … rusty toy truck (Renga With …)

1_U3ZZKcL7fw7ZI1nqe-DD1g.jpegbright fall day
the brook wanders off
its shimmer lingers

wittering pine siskins
flashing yellow

raking aside leaves
on the backyard pond
I release the moon
a koi breaks its hold

in a wake of ripples

evening walk
the creak of my boots
invades the stars
stirrings of crickets echo
in the distance an owl’s screech

full moon rising
nowhere on the empty beach
to hide our love
seeds of passion surge

a stolen kiss returned

as if nothing happened
the crow there
the willow here
walk continues

down forgotten trail

rusty toy truck
stuck on the mudbank
a cargo of blossoms
filtered light of a street lamp
illuminating sakura

“Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.” (Lao Tzu)
