Renga With … waiting for the full moon

Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #116 Renga With … waiting for the full moon

in nooks and corners
cold remains:
flowers of the plum                          © Buson

spring breeze toys with my jacket
gilling the folds with winter

a dandelion
now and then interrupting
the butterfly’s dream                        © Chiyo-Ni

meadow grasses gently sway
on the edges of my dreams

the thunderstorm having cleared up
the evening sun shines on a tree
where a cicada is chirping               © Shiki

the laziness of summer
encompassing the last light

ancient warriors ghosts
mists over the foreign highlands –
waiting for the full moon                © Chèvrefeuille

this midsummer’s night I too
await the goddess

the autumn wind:
thickets and fields also,
Fuha Barrier                                      © Basho

leaves swirl in the shallow waters
bumping the rock of Fuha

simply trust:
do not also the petals flutter down,
just like that                                      © Issa

Autumn’s colorful dance
will give way to a new spring

Beachcomber

Carpe Diem #1704 Beachcomber … Renga With Jane Reichhold

message-in-a-bottle.jpg
Beachcombing (Message In A Bottle)

missing the malls
on the ocean beach
she gathers shells

designer sandal peering
from remains of sandcastle

afternoon wind
all the beachcomber’s words
blown out to sea

setting sun swallowing
colorful phrases

high tide
the beach leaves a mark
in her book

she laughs as I retrieve
a floating umbrella

cold beach walk
on sun-warmed car seats
two sweatshirts

soft cotton caresses skin
waves in background roar

a special beach
I put a pebble in my mouth
before leaving

the jagged cliffs fading
blackness, yet everything remains

smelling the light
on her tanned shoulder
home from the beach

she slips into nothingness
spilling the sand from her shoes

Her Gentle Spirit

Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #68 Tan Renga With Jane Reichhold “her gentle spirit”

Haiku © Jane Reichhold

the hour silent
before the birds awake
waves on sand

sunrise peaks above the horizon
warm water laps at my feet

flat seas
with the butterfly’s flight
a certain calm

in the heat of the day
finding rest under a tree

a certain calm
n summer’s passing
flowers

yellow leaf  drifts from a branch
a taste of autumn wind
