I like the ambiguity of this haiku – the silence could be a falling out, where a couple no longer speaks to each other or it could be that comfortable silence when two people are so comfortable with each other they don’t need to talk to communicate. even the image is ambiguous – the bench is empty but the sun is shining and the colours are warm.
