autumn sun
sets fire to the trees
just before dusk
a movement
amongst the shadows
then nothing

walk through the woods
dry leaves crunching underfoot
birds strangely silent

These are 3 very real, tragic and yet so sharp. I sincerely like all 3 very much. The last is a gem, the second sad, and the first a nice touch. THE LAST REALLY IS THE GEM.

What a nice trio of haiku, what can I say more than already has been said above … chapeau! Your third haiku is not only a gem … it’s a masterpiece. I think even that this one is one of your best haiku.
