Lots of people do, but I never have. This one was in a national park though. I love the texture though.

I saw a single white cap mushroom on a morning walk, wish I had had my camera that early spring morning…by the afternoon the sun had shriveled it way. Unless of course it was eaten by one of the neighborhood rabbits. That fungus in the photo is unusual. Reminds me of a 1960’s Go-Go pattern. 🙂
