Carpe Diem if taken in my hand
if taken in my hand
it would vanish in hot tears
autumn frost © Basho (Tr. Jane Reichhold)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My inspiration is not for mother’s lost but for mother’s who have lost.
new buds frosted
withering on the vine
fruit untasted
~~~
broken branches
no roses in my garden
thorn in my hand
~~~
trampled plant
bud broken before flowering
wilting in my hand
~~~
my garden
blanketed in snow
awaiting spring
dreams melt in my hand
glistening tears holding hope

Such a sweet, melancholy sentiment in these lines. Very touching

Was very moved – your first haiku, especially.
