Carpe Diem # 692 Mud Snail
the mountain fauna
still soaking wet from the night
snail sipping the dew
on a granite rock
which moves faster
lichen or snail
amidst leaves and mud
a new green shoot
and a snail
on a foggy day
a snail hurries
across a boulder

“Sipping the dew” – very nice, though I’m sure our snails skip that in favour of chomping on my spinach!

you will appreciate this – when I did kids camps we did snail races. Add some water and they can move at least faster than a tortoise.
