Day 59 half moon- Haibun Journey View From My Window

From my window a half moon appears in a ring of blue and yellow surrounded by a grey cloudy sky. The weather is beginning to turn cold again. The pain of glass cold to the touch. I’m still hoping for a good snowstorm, but not until the weekend. Then again we have to take our youngest back to school on Sunday, so maybe not until Monday late. Boy there was a time when I drove on all kinds of snow and ice. So for now I’ll be content with the pretty rings in the sky and fond memories of winter snow

down the country lane
frost patterns across the path
glisten in moonlight

warmed with laughter and family
in distant memories
