Day 37 Painted Light — Haibun Journey View From My Window

It’s been another day blanketed with a grey December sky. This evening from my window a small patch of light shines through the clouds. Watching, I see a painted progression of colors added to the patch. Hues of pink, grey, yellow, and white captured in the glowing radiance. The colors change to brighter pinks and orange as the sky darkens. I think of the Hudson River School of Art style. How the light seems to sing. Amazed that a simple sky can still hold such beauty and captivation after all these years.
